In this thrilling episode from the throtl channel, the intrepid team takes on the challenge of transforming their $300 ZX project car into a true automotive masterpiece. With a beautiful Bayside blue paint job, this car is ready to be brought back to life. The first task at hand is removing the old studs from the front hubs, and the team does it the only way they know how - with a hammer! However, they encounter a setback when the new studs don't fit as snugly as expected. Undeterred, they come up with a genius solution - freezing the metal to shrink it and make the installation easier. With the studs successfully installed, it's time to tackle the wheel bearings. The team faces a daunting challenge as they try to press out the old bearings from the spindles. But with perseverance and teamwork, they manage to overcome the obstacles and get the job done. Now it's time to prepare the spindles for the new bearings. They clean and file down the old race to make it the perfect tool for pressing in the new bearings. With precision and skill, they press in the new bearings and celebrate their victory. The next task on their list is the transmission. They need to modify the bell housing to accommodate an SR20 engine swap. This means cracking open the transmission case and sending the bell housing out for machining. With the transmission disassembled, they clean it up and prepare it for the modifications. Finally, it's time to tackle the rear differential. After locating the necessary parts, they clean them up and remove the old bushings. With the new bushings in place, they mount the differential and prepare to move on to the next stage of their epic build. This team's determination and resourcefulness are truly inspiring, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next.
