It looks like Mat's latest purchase, a McLaren 720s, has been a bit of a mistake. After bringing it back to the UK, he was told that McLaren wouldn't allow for the carbon tub to be repaired. So, it's down to Mat to find a way to get the car back on the road. After getting the car off the trailer, the first step was to get the engine running. To Mat's surprise, it started on the first try! But, there was an oil leak coming from the gearbox. After doing a professional repair with some filler, Mat was able to get the car running again. But, the oil leak was still present.
Now, it's time to get the door off and expose the area where the carbon tub is damaged. After removing the driver's side seat, Mat was able to get a better view of the damage. Unfortunately, McLaren said that if the part was there, it would be repairable, but it's not. So, it looks like Mat will have to find a way to repair the carbon tub himself.
Mat's latest project is going to be a challenge, but it looks like he's up for it. With his knowledge of car modifications, automotive reviews, custom car builds, car maintenance tips, vehicle restoration, performance tuning, car DIY projects, aftermarket parts, luxury cars, and auto detailing, Mat is sure to find a way to get this McLaren back on the road. Stay tuned to see how he does it!
