Tesla has long been a leader in the luxury car market, and the Tesla Plaid was no exception. When Vehicle Virgins' Parker took delivery of his Model S Plaid in November 2021, he was excited to experience the power and speed of the car. However, what he didn't expect was the tire issues that came with it. After only 25,000 miles, Parker had gone through five sets of tires due to the car's heavy weight and aggressive camber. This is a serious safety issue that could lead to blowouts and potential crashes.

Parker isn't alone in his experience. After speaking to three of his closest friends who all have Plaids, and a Facebook group of 7,000 Tesla Model S owners, it's clear that this is a widespread problem. It's not just the tires that are an issue either. Parker has noticed some other problems with the car that need to be addressed.

It's a shame that such a powerful and luxurious car has these issues. While Parker still has faith in the future of the company, he will never buy a Tesla again. Hopefully, Tesla will address these issues soon so that current and future Tesla customers can have a safe and enjoyable experience. For now, Vehicle Virgins' fans should take Parker's experience into consideration when researching and shopping for their next car.

Some viewer thoughts.... Tesla price drops are a double edged sword. On one hand, it's great that more people can now afford a Tesla, but on the other hand, it's a huge financial loss for those who bought a Tesla before the price drop. The tire issue is also a major safety hazard and should not be overlooked. People should also be aware of the fact that Tesla's Full Self Driving feature is not transferable and will not be refunded if you decide to trade in your car. Finally, electric cars are not a store of wealth and will depreciate in value just like any other car.
