Ultimate Adventure 2023, brought to you by MotorTrend Channel, is here and it's bigger and better than ever before. Christian Hazel and Trent McGee have outdone themselves once again, with the aim of making this year's adventure even more incredible than the last. This off-road bucket list trip is packed with heart-pounding action and challenging terrain that will put both man and machine to the test.
The journey kicks off at Rock Run Recreation Area in Patton, Pennsylvania, a park known for its ATV and side-by-side trails. But don't be fooled, they've got some serious rock crawling trails that will push the participants to their limits. With a diverse range of vehicles, from flat fender Jeeps to full-size pickups and even a mean green 4x4 van, there's something for everyone on this adventure.
The first day is filled with technical rock crawling, with big rocks and obstacles that will test the strength of rocker panels and sidewalls. One participant stands out with a square body S10 truck, a unique choice that brings a fresh perspective to the event. They've kept the motor stock but added dual transfer cases and one-ton axles for added power and durability. The highlight of the day is a challenging rock garden trail, where slow and precise maneuvering is key.
Day two takes the team on a road trip through Maryland and West Virginia, with some unexpected stops along the way. They visit the Flight 93 Memorial, a somber reminder of the events of 9/11, and take the opportunity to pay their respects. The journey continues on dirt roads, showcasing the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. A detour to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum adds a touch of history and intrigue to the adventure.
With repairs and preparations complete, the team sets up camp at the Good Evening Ranch, ready for a full day of off-roading ahead. The anticipation is high as they gear up for the next set of obstacles and challenges that await them in West Virginia. Ultimate Adventure 2023 is off to an adrenaline-fueled start, and there's no doubt that the excitement will only continue to build as the adventure unfolds. Stay tuned for the next episode, where the true spirit of off-roading will be unleashed.
