In this thrilling episode of 1320Video, we witness the heart-pounding action of the 2004 Mr Chrome Cobra giveaway. This beast of a car boasts an impressive 24,000 original miles and a 2.3L Whipple supercharger churning out a monstrous 515 horsepower. But that's not all, folks! The lucky winner also walks away with a jaw-dropping $115,000 in cold, hard cash. It's a prize package that dreams are made of.
But the excitement doesn't stop there. The 1320Video team brings us the first-ever 1320 Video Invitational roll race, featuring 60 racers from the Midwest. With three different classes and a cap on horsepower, this is a battle of skill and strategy. The Slowpoke class kicks things off, showcasing the "not-so-fast" 16 cars that qualified. Sponsored by drag Illustrated, this class promises some fierce competition.
The race begins with a thrilling showdown between a C6 Corvette and an SS. The Corvette, equipped with a Procharger and producing a mighty 800 horsepower, goes head-to-head with the SS, boasting a 5-inch intake and a 2650 blower generating 760 horsepower. It's a clash of power and technique, with the Corvette ultimately taking the victory by a car length.
Next up, we have a Mustang taking on an Evo. The Mustang, with its Kenny Bell 3.2 supercharger, delivers around 700 horsepower, while the Evo, with its fully built 2.0L engine, pushes out an impressive 750 horsepower. The battle of the turbocharged titans is intense, but in the end, the Mustang emerges victorious, proving that raw power combined with skilled gear shifting can conquer all.
As the sun begins to set, a GTO lines up against a BMW X4. The GTO, armed with a single turbo, flexes its muscles with a mighty 850-900 horsepower. The X4, with its bolt-ons, puts up a valiant fight, but falls short against the GTO's sheer power. It's a testament to the age-old adage that horsepower rules the day.
In the final race of the Slowpoke class, an EXO set and a Neon face off. The Neon, with its LS power and dual nitrous kits, packs a punch with around 500 horsepower. The EXO set, on the other hand, relies on a single turbo and delivers a staggering 700 horsepower. It's a battle of front-wheel drive versus rear-wheel drive, and the EXO set emerges triumphant, leaving the Neon in its dust.
As the dust settles and the winners celebrate, we can't help but be captivated by the sheer power and skill on display. The Slowpoke class may not be the fastest, but it's a reminder that even the underdogs can deliver heart-stopping action. Stay tuned for more adrenaline-fueled races and epic battles in the world of 1320Video.
