In this thrilling tale from VINwiki, Gregg Barclay embarks on a quest to find the perfect water truck for his adrenaline-fueled event, the Carnage Cup. With his heart set on a 1967 International giant, complete with a 2500 gallon water tank, the narrator scours Facebook Marketplace in search of his dream machine. But alas, the owner, Eric, proves elusive, ignoring multiple messages and leaving our protagonist in a state of anxious anticipation.

Undeterred, Gregg takes matters into his own hands, tracking down Eric's workplace and making a direct call. A glimmer of hope emerges as Eric finally answers, confirming the availability of the water truck. Negotiations ensue, and a price of $3,000 is agreed upon. However, as the narrator attempts to arrange a visit to inspect the truck, Eric's demeanor takes a turn for the worse. Suddenly, he demands full payment upfront, leaving our hero suspicious of his intentions.

Ever resourceful, Gregg hatches a plan to bypass Eric altogether. Armed with the knowledge that the truck's owner is named John and operates an in-home healthcare facility in Woodland Park, the narrator embarks on a mission to track down this elusive figure. Unfortunately, his efforts to locate John prove fruitless, forcing him to return to the clutches of Eric.

Just as hope seems lost, a glimmer of opportunity emerges. Another seller, Mike, enters the scene with the same water truck, now located much closer to our hero. Sensing a chance to finally secure his dream machine, Gregg reaches out to Mike. However, before a meeting can be arranged, Eric strikes again, claiming that the truck has been towed away.

Undeterred by this setback, Gregg contacts the tow truck company, hoping to uncover the whereabouts of his coveted water truck. While the company refuses to disclose the location, they confirm that the truck is no longer in their possession. Frustrated but not defeated, Gregg attempts to reach out to Eric once more, only to be met with silence and rejection.

As the story reaches its climax, Gregg finds himself at a dead end, unable to locate the truck or its elusive owner. But fear not, for he offers a generous bounty of $1,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to the recovery of the 1967 International water truck. Will someone come forward with the crucial details? Only time will tell friends.
