The RS6, a beastly machine that made it to SEMA, but not without a catastrophic engine failure. Oh dear, this is not good at all. The poor car had to be pushed out of SEMA, leaving the team scratching their heads, wondering how to fix this monstrous problem. Imagine, building an RS6, flying it over 5,000 miles for a car show, only to have the engine seize moments into the journey. It's a nightmare.
To get to the bottom of this engine disaster, the car was taken to DD's Workshop, but even they couldn't pinpoint the exact cause of the failure. With time running out, the team had no choice but to trailer the car to the show, where it sat, admired by onlookers who had no idea that the engine was a ticking time bomb.
In an attempt to unravel the mystery, the team inspected the spark plugs and found one completely perished and another missing. But that wasn't the only issue. They also discovered that there was no coolant in the reservoir. Something was seriously wrong with this RS6, and they needed to get to the bottom of it.
Suspecting that the charge cooler might be the culprit, they tested it and, lo and behold, it was leaking. This could explain the water entering the engine and causing all the havoc. But the investigation didn't stop there. They decided to strip the engine apart, piece by piece, to uncover the true extent of the damage.
As they delved deeper into the engine, they found more signs of trouble. The oil was contaminated with water, and the cylinder head showed signs of damage. It was clear that this RS6 had been through a rough time. But what caused it all? That was the burning question on everyone's minds.
With determination in their eyes, the team pressed on, determined to find the root cause of this engine failure. The charge cooler and fuel were the prime suspects, and they were determined to get to the bottom of it. This RS6 may be down, but it's not out just yet. The team won't rest until they've solved this automotive mystery and restored the RS6 to its former glory.
