In this episode of Rich Rebuilds, the team takes on the challenge of restoring a 1969 Mini Cooper. Rich starts by removing the car from storage, and they proceed to strip it down completely, removing the engine and interior. As they pressure wash the exterior, they discover that the paint is in poor condition, and unfortunately, the engine has low compression. Undeterred, they continue their mission to give this classic car a new lease on life.

After a day of hard work, they inspect the car after it has been sandblasted. To their surprise, the damage isn't as bad as they initially thought. They find some dents, which they plan to fix by pulling them and applying a bit of Bondo. While there are a few issues to address, such as mysterious holes and residue from duct tape, overall, the car is in decent shape. They appreciate the effort put into the restoration by Joey, although there are a few things that John didn't have the chance to complete.

The team then sets up a DIY paint booth and proceeds to paint the car. Rich is particularly fond of the color scheme, which he describes as a combination of his three favorite colors: gray, blue, and black. He plans to have the interior done in a chocolate brown color, which he believes will complement the exterior nicely. The car still requires wet sanding and buffing, and there are additional tasks ahead, such as installing new suspension components, brakes, and a turbocharger for the original engine.

With each step, the team grows more excited about the progress they've made on the Mini Cooper restoration. They anticipate completing the project in the next episode, where they will focus on the final touches, including installing the wheels, doors, and glass. Rich is determined to provide his viewers with a more expedited restoration process, ensuring they don't have to wait too long for the gratification of seeing the finished product. Stay tuned for the next episode, where the Mini Cooper will come to life in all its restored glory.
