In this adrenaline-fueled episode from the Mat Armstrong channel, the team embarks on a seemingly ludicrous mission: to transform a GT3 into a speed demon capable of outpacing a Lamborghini. Now, you may be thinking, "Why would anyone want to do that?" Well, as Mat himself explains, they've always had a penchant for doing things that are, well, a little bit stupid. And this project is no exception.

The journey begins with a challenging task: accessing the ECU, the brain of the car, which is conveniently tucked away in the back. To get to it, they have to strip the car down, revealing a maze of parts that must be carefully dismantled. But here's the catch: they don't even know if the ECU is locked, a common tactic employed by manufacturers to prevent enthusiasts from tinkering with their cars. The only way to find out is to get it out and give it a try.

With the ECU successfully accessed, the team moves on to other modifications. They address a coolant issue and tackle the lackluster stock exhaust, opting for a full titanium JCR exhaust system that promises to enhance both the sound and power of the GT3. But it's not all smooth sailing. Rusty bolts and stubborn heat shields add unexpected challenges to the process, requiring even more dismantling.

After overcoming these hurdles, it's time to put the GT3 to the test on the dyno. However, air flow issues hinder their progress, resulting in slightly lower power figures than expected. Nevertheless, the team remains undeterred and hands the car over to Phil for tuning. With the addition of improved air flow, they manage to squeeze out some extra horsepower, bringing the GT3 closer to its full potential.

With the performance upgrades complete, the team shifts their focus to the finishing touches. They install the front bumper, under trays, and rear end components, transforming the GT3 into a visually stunning powerhouse. But before they can hit the road, they must address the litany of fault codes that plague the dashboard. After some troubleshooting and clearing of the codes, the GT3 is finally ready for its maiden voyage.

In the end, despite recalls and a previous accident, the team revels in the sheer joy of driving the GT3. It's a testament to their determination and passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible. And while the quest to outpace a Lamborghini may seem audacious, it's a reminder that sometimes, the most exhilarating experiences come from pursuing the seemingly impossible.
