In the latest episode of Car Throttle, the lads are back at it with their super cheap Porsche 924. After supercharging the beast in the previous episode, they now find themselves faced with the daunting task of fixing everything else. And let me tell you, it's been quite the adventure.
Their first order of business is tackling the brakes and bearings. They suspect that the seized wheels are hindering the car's performance, so they replace the old parts with shiny new ones from Heritage. But, as is often the case with these old cars, they encounter a few hiccups along the way. Rounded bolts and seized bearings put their patience to the test, but they soldier on.
With the drive shaft successfully installed and the hub cleaned up, it's time to address the calipers and brake lines. They rebuild the seized calipers and install new brake lines to ensure a proper brake feel. It's a meticulous process, but they're determined to get it right.
But just when they thought they were ready for a dyno run, disaster strikes. The clutch starts slipping, and the bonnet release decides to stop working. Frustration sets in as they realize they'll have to fix these issues before they can hit the dyno. It's a setback, but they're not ones to give up easily.
Despite the setbacks, the Car Throttle team remains determined to get their Porsche 924 back in top shape. With their never-ending enthusiasm and resourcefulness, it's only a matter of time before they conquer these challenges and unleash the full potential of their supercharged beast. Stay tuned for the next episode, where the lads continue their quest for automotive greatness.
