In this thrilling episode of 4x4 Garage, the team at Woods Offroad is back and they mean business. They're diving deep into the F350 tow rig project and the s120 international, and let me tell you, it's been a journey. The axles have come a long way, with the Sterlington and a half up on the bench and the Dana 60 front patiently waiting on the floor for a few final parts. But what caught my attention was Johnny's welding technique. He's got this rtech Apex truss and he knows just how to weld steel to cast without any cracks or failed welds. Preheating is the secret, my friends, along with some post-heating and a little hammer action to disturb those molecules. And let's not forget the importance of straightening those bent tubes. They've used a TR bar to work their magic and now everything is ready to go.

But that's not all, folks. Johnny has also installed a 488 gear set and a Detroit Locker for some serious brainless traction. It's all about point and shoot, my friends. Meanwhile, the frame is getting a makeover. They're cutting off unnecessary brackets and prepping it for the Skyjacker long arm suspension. And let me tell you, this frame has a story. Originally, they had plans to use the Durango as the donor vehicle, but fate had other plans. They decided to go with a JK frame, which allows them to use off-the-shelf aftermarket parts. It's a time and money-saving move, and I must say, a smart one.

Now, let's talk about the heart of this beast. They've got a 57 Hemi long block, and let me tell you, it's a thing of beauty. They've pieced together all the necessary parts, and it's going to deliver a solid 350 to 400 horsepower. But here's the kicker, my friends. The team had to find a specific bell housing for the monster nv4500 transmission. It's not an easy task, but they managed to find one on eBay. It's all about the little details, isn't it? And speaking of details, they've also tackled the repair of the rollover valve on the JK gas tank. Instead of buying a whole new tank, they decided to make a new top for it. They used Sen Cuts to get a clean and precise cut, and let me tell you, it's a work of art.

But wait, there's more! They've installed Firestone airbags and a VIAir air compressor system for those moments when they need to pump up those tires in a jiffy. And let's not forget the Milestar Patagonia XT tires and the sleek Raceline Wheels. It's all about performance and style, my friends. And finally, the moment we've all been waiting for, the assembly of the 07 Hemi engine. They've followed the torque sheet to a T and made sure everything is in place. The engine cover is on, and I can almost hear the rumble of that V8. It's an exciting time, my friends, and I can't wait to see what happens next. Stay tuned for more thrilling adventures on 4x4 Garage!
