In this video from The Fast Lane Car, the team takes a look at three SUVs that you should probably avoid. First up is the Nissan Juke, a car that divides opinions with its unconventional styling. While some may find it unique and refreshing, others, like Brendon, absolutely hate it. The Juke's headlights are positioned in a rather unusual manner, and the overall design is a bit polarizing. However, the Juke does have some cool features, like a motorcycle-inspired console and different drive modes. Unfortunately, the interior lacks space and comfort, especially in the back seat. Furthermore, the CVT transmission is a letdown for those seeking a more engaging driving experience.
Next on the list is a modified Jeep Wrangler TJ, which serves as a prime example of what not to do to your vehicle. This particular Wrangler has some questionable modifications, including oversized wheels that sacrifice sidewall and ruin the off-road capability. The team emphasizes the importance of buying a stock Wrangler and doing the modifications yourself to ensure quality and proper installation. Despite its poor condition, the Wrangler TJ is still praised for being a fantastic vehicle, especially with its 4.0L inline-six engine and soft top.
Lastly, the team discusses the Ford Freestyle/Taurus X, a vehicle that suffers from an identity crisis. Is it a wagon? Is it a minivan? Is it a crossover? It's hard to tell. The design is rather generic and lacks any standout features. While the interior is comfortable, it is poorly made with excessive fake wood and plastic. The Taurus X drives like a minivan, lacking any real excitement or character. The team suggests that if you're in the market for an SUV, you probably want something that doesn't remind you of a minivan.
Overall, these three SUVs have their flaws and may not be the best choices for potential buyers. The Nissan Juke's unique styling and lack of interior space, the modified Jeep Wrangler TJ's questionable modifications, and the Ford Freestyle/Taurus X's identity crisis all contribute to their inclusion on the list of SUVs to avoid.
