The Volkswagen T-Roc has received a midlife facelift, but it still retains its practicality and comfort. It's like a pair of Clark shoes - not the most stylish, but dependable and useful. The exterior changes include a full-length light bar at the rear, redesigned rear bumper, and new exhausts. The alloy wheels range from 20 to 22 inches, and the black roof bars add a touch of sportiness. The front grille has been revamped with the addition of a light bar and extended grille underneath the headlights, giving the car a cheeky grin.

Inside, the T-Roc maintains its familiar layout, but with some tweaks to trims and materials. The infotainment system now features a large screen, although the removal of manual climate control buttons may not be to everyone's liking. The digital driver's display is clean and easy to use, but the buttons on the steering wheel can be a bit confusing. However, the driving position is comfortable, with ample adjustment in the steering wheel and seats. The R SP0 seats provide extra sportiness and comfort.

Practicality is a strong point for the T-Roc, with decent storage options throughout the cabin. Cup holders, wireless charging, and USB ports are conveniently located. The glove box may appear large, but it's not as spacious due to the presence of the infotainment system controller. In the back, there's enough knee room and headroom, and the seats can be adjusted to accommodate taller passengers. The rear doors open wide, making it easy to access the back seats. Child safety features, such as easy access to ISOFIX anchor points and wide footwells, are also present.

The T-Roc offers a generous boot capacity of 810 liters, with additional storage space under the false floor. The rear seats can be folded down, although they don't go completely flat. While there are a few drawbacks, like the rear windows not going all the way down and exposed wiring in the engine bay, the T-Roc also has some impressive features. These include a surround view camera system, auto park facility, adjustable ride height, and an electrically operated tow hitch. The car even has a special roof sensor to optimize handling when a roof box is loaded. With its practicality and useful features, the T-Roc proves to be a reliable choice in the market.
