In this episode of Donut, the team is taking their $500 Civic to the next level in an attempt to beat the brand new Civic Type R on the track. With a whopping $5,000 set of itbs and new cams, they're determined to squeeze out every ounce of power from their humble ride. The process begins with the removal of the old intake manifold and valve cover, expertly assisted by the guys from drag cartel. These new cams and upgraded valve springs are the key to unlocking more power and reaching higher RPMs. It's all about getting that extra kick to leave the Type R in the dust.

But it's not all smooth sailing. The team encounters a hurdle when the power steering pump interferes with the installation of the itbs. Undeterred, they decide to take a bold step and delete the power steering altogether. This might just be the perfect opportunity to explore the world of electric power steering. With some careful cutting and grinding, they manage to fit the itbs, albeit with a few sacrifices along the way.

Next up, it's time to replace the stock intake manifold and throttle body with larger, more performance-oriented ones. The goal is simple: get more air into the engine and make it sound even cooler. The team is excited to see the transformation, but there's a slight setback when they realize that the hood might need some modifications. Nevertheless, they press on, knowing that these upgrades, combined with the new cams and itbs, will make a significant difference in their pursuit of victory.

With the installation complete, it's time to fire up the engine and see how it performs. Although it's clear that some tuning is required, the team is thrilled to witness the power and potential of their modified Civic. They know there's still work to be done, but they're confident that with the right adjustments and a trip to the track, they'll be able to leave the Type R in their dust. So stay tuned for the next episode, where they'll gather all the necessary parts, fine-tune the engine, and take on the challenge of beating the 2023 Civic Type R. It's going to be an epic showdown!
