In this Larry Chen video, we delve into the extraordinary world of a Skyline build like no other. Crafted by Span Racing Technology in Japan, this beast is the brainchild of the mastermind behind Banai Racing. Converting a regular GTX Skyline into a left-hand drive powerhouse with a four-rotor engine and a Samsonas Quick Change gearbox, this machine is a true work of art. The inspiration for this unique creation stems from a historic race where a four-rotor Skyline faced off against a Mazda 787b, sparking the idea to infuse this powerhouse into the Skyline.
With every detail meticulously designed and built in Japan, this Skyline boasts 460 horsepower on the dyno, propelling it into a league of its own. From the custom Bonsai Racing wheels to the KW suspension and dry sump setup tailored for drifting, every component of this car screams precision and performance. The front cow design, showcasing the engine bay, sets this build apart, while the bespoke kit and stripped interior add a touch of raw, unadulterated power.
The decision to base this build on a four-door Skyline was a strategic one, considering the cost and intricate cage work involved. The stripped-down interior, featuring a modern dash setup, PDM, and custom ECU, reflects the dedication to creating a high-performance machine. With plans to fine-tune the car for US events and race gas, the owner aims to introduce this Japanese craftsmanship to a global audience. The Ford electric power steering and pedal box setup further underscore the meticulous attention to detail that defines this extraordinary build.
