In the heart of the high-octane battleground that is TX2K 25, the heavyweight class emerged as a true test of power and precision. With a strict 4200 lb weight requirement, 16 formidable cars battled it out, with one daring driver clocking an impressive 788 mph, the only heavyweight to break into the sevens. Armed with a Dart Block twin turbo engine pumping out an estimated 1800 horsepower, this contender shaved off nearly 800 lbs to meet the weight limit, setting the stage for a record-breaking run and a shot at glory in the finals.
Meanwhile, in the GTR unlimited class, a fierce competition unfolded among the quickest and fastest GTRs on the property, ranging from 650 to 840 in performance. With top qualifiers George Dodworth and Ma Bronson neck and neck at 658 and 659, anticipation ran high for a showdown of epic proportions. However, a surprising twist occurred when one GTR let out mid-race, leaving spectators in awe and craving more adrenaline-pumping action on the track.
As the day progressed, the streets roared with the thunderous clash of street car elites and DCT classes, each vying for supremacy in a whirlwind of speed and skill. From Mustang victories to Supra showdowns, the competition was fierce, culminating in Christine's triumphant first six-second run, a moment of pure exhilaration amidst the heat and intensity of the TX2K battlefield. Amidst the roaring engines and screeching tires, charity support for TJ Bailey's family added a touch of humanity to the high-octane spectacle, reminding everyone that even in the world of speed and power, compassion and camaraderie prevail.
