The DailyDrivenExotics team has set their sights on transforming Dave's dull and lackluster Ferrari 599 into something that truly commands attention. They're not holding back with their plans to revamp this grand tourer. While the drivetrain of the 599 is impressive, boasting a naturally aspirated V12 engine that screams with a straight pipe exhaust, the exterior just doesn't match up. It's time for a major overhaul.
They've already tackled a similar project with the 550, turning it from a boring gray car into a head-turning beauty. Now, they're taking it up a notch with the 599. The interior gets stripped down and upgraded with a roll cage and race seats. But it's the exterior modifications that will truly make a statement. Hood vents, dive planes, a front splitter, side skirts, a massive rear diffuser, and an APR carbon fiber wing are all on the agenda.
However, it's not just about looks. The team wants to address the power and sound of the 599 as well. While the car already sounds good with its straight pipe and headers, it just doesn't compare to the ear-piercing scream of the 599. They've already converted it to a six-speed gated manual transmission, but they're not stopping there. They aim to fix the clutch pedal problem and improve the clutch hydraulics, making it a car that's not only stunning to look at but also a joy to drive.
With their plans in motion, the team begins the process of cutting out the hood vents and addressing the clutch pedal issue. They encounter some challenges along the way but remain determined to create something truly special. The end result will be a transformed Ferrari 599 that not only looks incredible but also delivers the power, sound, and driving experience that it deserves. Stay tuned for the exciting updates on this epic project.
