In this latest installment from the throtl channel, the intrepid team embarks on a trading up adventure, swapping a measly $1,000 BMW for a true automotive gem - a manual Ferrari 355. But, as with most things in life, there's a catch. This poor Ferrari has been left to rot outside, with its windows down, for a staggering 10 years. The result? A car that's seen better days, with a cracked and faded dashboard, paint destroyed by a car cover, and an infestation of rats. But, fear not, because the team sees beyond the wreckage and recognizes the immense potential that lies within this neglected beauty.
With the Ferrari now in their possession, the team wastes no time in getting to work. They begin by giving the car a much-needed exterior wash, using the Maguire ultimate snow foam extreme clean wash to remove any grime and lubricate the surface. Moving on to the engine bay, they employ a variety of brushes to tackle the dirt and grime that has accumulated over the years. A small cordless blower is then used to ensure the engine bay is completely dry. The transformation is already evident, but the real challenge lies in restoring the paint.
The team takes on the daunting task of cutting and buffing the paint, armed with the Maguire Ultimate Compound and buffing pad. The scratches and swirls that marred the surface begin to disappear, revealing a rejuvenated and vibrant finish. It's a sight to behold, especially considering the car's neglected state. With the exterior well on its way to redemption, the team turns their attention to the interior, which is nothing short of a disaster. Covered in rat feces and dirt, it's a sight that would make even the bravest souls shudder. But, undeterred, they embark on a deep cleaning mission, using Maguire Citrus power cleaner plus and a range of brushes to scrub every nook and cranny. The results are astonishing, with the door panels and dash looking almost brand new.
The wheels, too, receive their fair share of attention. With the help of a mobile wheel refinishing expert, the team sets out to clean and repair the curbed wheels. They remove all four wheels, clean the insides of the barrels, and even grind down a cracked wheel that was leaking air. The final touch is a refinishing job that leaves the wheels looking fresh and pristine. With the exterior and interior well on their way to restoration, the team is brimming with excitement and eager to tackle the next phase of the project - inspecting the engine and attempting to bring this neglected Ferrari back to life. Stay tuned for the next thrilling installment from the throtl channel.
