Reviving a Classic: Throtl's Dream Build 7 Transforms Gabriel's 1990 240SX

Gabriel's 1990 240SX has been chosen as the winner of Throtl's Dream Build 7, and let me tell you, this iconic JDM car is in desperate need of some TLC. It may be 33 years old, but it's showing its age like a wrinkled prune. But fear not, because the Throtl team is here to work their magic and give this car the transformation it deserves.
With a mountain of parts from top brands like GReddy, Motegi Racing, BC Racing, and more, the team is ready to tackle this project head-on. They start by giving the car a thorough pressure wash to clean up the engine bay and body, creating a clean canvas to work with. Then, it's time to strip out the old parts and replace them with shiny new ones.
They remove the radiator, fan, bumper, cooling hoses, and alternator, replacing them with fresh components sourced from a rally auto parts store. The transmission gets a complete overhaul with a new clutch, flywheel, and starter. The team even gives the car a fresh coat of paint and installs a new valve cover gasket for that extra touch of perfection.
But the upgrades don't stop there. They upgrade the cooling system with a Mishimoto radiator, electric fans, and silicone hoses. The exhaust system gets a revamp, and they even add a rear sway bar for improved handling. The suspension gets a complete makeover with parts from ISR and BC Racing, ensuring that this car will not only look good but also handle like a dream.
After all the hard work and dedication, Gabriel's 240SX is finally transformed into a masterpiece. It's a true testament to the skill and expertise of the Throtl team. This car is now ready to hit the road with a new lease on life, turning heads wherever it goes.
