It is then wrapped in a plastic bag to keep it clean until the reveal. Next up are the cylinder heads, which are taken apart, cleaned, and lapped. New valve stem seals are installed and the valves are sent to a machine shop for regrinding.
The main oil pump and scavenger pump are also taken apart, cleaned, and inspected for wear and tear. The components are put in a ZZ machine for cleaning and the chain and guide are replaced.
