In this latest installment from the Tj Hunt channel, the intrepid team is back with their NSX project, a car that was acquired for a mere pittance. Now, if you missed the previous episode, let me tell you, this car was in an absolutely wretched state. Left abandoned and neglected, it was covered in cobwebs and filth, a sight that would make any car enthusiast cringe. But fear not, for our heroes have taken it upon themselves to restore this forgotten beauty to its former glory.
With the NSX now in their possession, the team wasted no time in giving it a thorough power wash. And let me tell you, the transformation was nothing short of miraculous. The once grimy exterior began to shine, shedding its layers of dirt and cobwebs. It was as if the car had been reborn, emerging from its long slumber with a newfound radiance.
But the exterior was just the beginning. The real horror awaited them inside. The seats, torn and battered, were a sorry sight to behold. And the carpet, oh dear, it was a disaster of epic proportions. Covered in grime and even signs of rat activity, it was clear that a deep clean was in order. The team wasted no time in removing the seats and tackling the carpet, but alas, their efforts proved futile. The seats were beyond repair, and the carpet, well, let's just say a replacement was in order.
But amidst the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerged. A wiring issue, caused by a mischievous rat, was discovered. This explained the check engine light and traction control problems that plagued the NSX. With their resident wiring expert, Ian, on the case, a solution was found. By jumping a wire, they were able to retrieve the codes and identify the root of the problem. It was a breakthrough that brought them one step closer to a fully functioning NSX.
With a new carpet on order and the interior cleaning well underway, the team's focus now shifts to dropping the engine and embarking on the next phase of this ambitious restoration project. Stay tuned, for there are surely more challenges and triumphs to come in the journey of the NSX.
