JR Garage is back with yet another one of their automotive adventures, and this time they've got their hands on a bargain Porsche 911. Now, this isn't just any 911, it's a 996, the one with those infamous "running egg" headlights. You know, the one that gets so much hate. But the guys at JR Garage think it's all unwarranted. They've been wanting a cheap 911 for a while now, and this is their chance to finally tick it off their list.
They bought this car from an auction, sight unseen, with unknown mileage. And the best part? It didn't even start or run when they got it. But that's not stopping them. They've got a trick up their sleeves, a trick that has worked for them in the past with other non-running Porsches. They're going to try and access the battery and jump-start it to see if they can get it running. And if it works, they'll have themselves a perfectly good Porsche for the price of a 2005 Honda Civic.
But before they attempt their trick, they take a closer look at the car. It's in surprisingly good condition, with a dark blue two-tone interior and new shocks and tires. The team is impressed with its cleanliness and the rare option of having the large 18-inch turbo twists wheels. They were hoping they had the even rarer hollow spoke version, which could have fetched them a pretty penny, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.
With everything checked out, it's time to put their trick to the test. They manage to access the battery in a matter of minutes, and with a jump start, the car comes to life. It's a success! The team is thrilled with their find and the potential profit they could make from this flip. With low mileage and a relatively clean bill of health, this 996 Porsche 911 might just be their next home run. Stay tuned to JR Garage to see how this story unfolds.
