The all-new Corvette R-Ray is an absolute beast. With its 6.2L naturally aspirated V8 engine from the C8 Stingray, it already packs a punch, delivering 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. But Chevy didn't stop there. They added an electric powertrain on the front axle, boosting the power by an additional 160 horses for a total output of 655 horsepower. That's right, this Corvette is all-wheel drive and electrified, making it the quickest Corvette in history with a blistering 0 to 60 mph time of just 2.5 seconds. It's a speed demon that will leave you breathless.
Inside the R-Ray, you'll find a familiar layout, similar to the ZO6 and C8 Stingray. But there are some key differences that set it apart. The squared-off steering wheel feels great in your hands, and the carbon fiber seat adds a touch of luxury. One of the coolest features is the stealth mode, which allows you to drive the Corvette in all-electric mode. Just toggle the mode selector, put it in drive, and you can silently cruise up to 45 mph for about 4 miles. It's perfect for those early morning drives when you don't want to wake the neighbors.
But this Corvette is not just about power and speed. It's also practical. The front trunk is surprisingly spacious, thanks to the electric powertrain components being cleverly placed. And the rear trunk offers additional storage space. It's a car that can not only tear up the track but also handle everyday tasks with ease. The Corvette R-Ray is a true performance bargain, starting at just $114,400. It's a car that will make you feel like a million bucks without breaking the bank. Chevy has truly outdone themselves with this one.
