As they make their way to Vegas, the team encounters a beautiful old Mustang, but quickly realizes that the range estimation on this car is nothing short of comical. It changes every five seconds, leaving them with an unreliable gauge of their remaining range. Nevertheless, they arrive in Las Vegas and are greeted by an impressive autocross start line, surrounded by a plethora of awe-inspiring cars. From the S2000 with its time attack style wing to the ZL1 boasting an imposing splitter, the competition is fierce.
With the autocross underway, the team eagerly takes their turn, hoping to set a blistering time. The power of their car is almost ridiculous, but they push through, determined to conquer the course. And conquer they do, with a time of 40.68 seconds, leaving them exhilarated and hungry for more. But the real highlight of the day comes in the form of a mind-boggling Rat Rod. This extraordinary creation boasts a V8 engine with a massive blower, custom headers, and even a flask for good measure. The owner, Paul, shares the story behind this masterpiece, explaining how it was born out of his love for drag racing and the need for a street-legal vehicle that still packs a punch.
The adventure doesn't end there, as the team encounters a jaw-dropping bus with side exit exhausts that could make you weak at the knees. And as the sun rises on a new day in Las Vegas, they set off to Pomona, ready to immerse themselves in the world of Motor Trend and Hot Rod Magazine. Along the way, they meet Jack Ultramotive and get up close and personal with his Hennessy Exorcist, a beast of a car that combines insane horsepower with a modernized interior. With American Muscle Cars by their side, the team embarks on a thrilling journey, facing a tire scare along the way. But they persevere and make it home, having experienced an unforgettable adventure filled with speed, power, and the camaraderie of fellow car enthusiasts.
