Welcome to Hoovies Garage, where the madness of automotive adventures never seems to end. In this episode, we witness the completion of Hub's Garage 3.0 and the ongoing Farmhouse Renovations, all while facing a mountain of bills that need to be paid off. To tackle this financial challenge, Hoovie has been on a selling spree, parting ways with cars like the Mazerati gbi and a 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo that underwent a unique safari conversion. Despite the fun had with these vehicles, the losses are stacking up to a staggering $50,000, showcasing the risky business of car flipping.
The Porsche 911 Turbo in question, originally acquired for $24,000, came with its quirks, including a despised Tiptronic automatic transmission. However, after receiving a seal of approval from the car wizard, Hoovie decided to transform it into his own version of a Safari 911 Darar Edition. With parts sourced from elephant racing, the off-road suspension, roof basket, and other modifications brought the total cost to $177,000. Although the end result was impressive, the decision to sell the vehicle before completion left Hoovie second-guessing his pricing strategy.
As the adventure continues, we witness Hoovie taking the Safari 911 Turbo off-road to Sandy Bottom, encountering obstacles and mud pits along the way. Despite the impressive performance of the modified suspension, the journey is not without its challenges, leading to a renegotiation with the prospective buyer due to unforeseen issues like a malfunctioning rear spoiler, ABS sensor problems, and a triggered check engine light. With more cars lined up for sale, including a G55 AMG in need of an engine replacement and a Buick Park Avenue Ultra with various costly repairs, Hoovie's garage proves to be a hotbed of automotive drama and financial rollercoasters.
