Today, we delve into the world of the Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally, a beast with 480 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, thanks to its electric motors and hefty 91 kWh battery. The Rally version sports a striking Wing, fog lights, and Rally wheels that give it a fierce look. In Rally Sport mode, this machine sends power to the rear for a thrilling drift experience, though the torque delivery may not feel as potent as expected.
Charging at Tesla stations proves tricky due to the need for a credit card, leaving reviewers like us in a bit of a bind. The Rally wheels, available only in White, are paired with Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tires, ensuring a solid grip on the road. While the car handles well in Rally Sport mode during winter conditions, the torque sensation falls short of the mark, leaving something to be desired.
Inside, the Mach-E Rally boasts gloss white accents, comfortable seats, and even space for a child seat, making it a practical choice for families. The one-pedal driving feature, easy propulsion sound adjustment, and dark interior lacking a sunroof add to the overall experience. The infotainment system, featuring wired CarPlay, may require some getting used to, with a confusing interface that demands attention away from the road. The trunk's inconveniently located opening button and finicky lock and close mechanism may prove to be minor annoyances in an otherwise exciting ride.
