In this latest update from StanceWorks, the team dives back into the Ferrari engine rebuild saga after a frustrating six-month delay. Following a catastrophic engine failure at the GTA finals, the car was stripped down for inspection by the experts at Four Piston Racing. Surprisingly, the root cause was traced back to a blown head gasket, a rare occurrence in the world of racing. As the engine rebuild progresses, the team tackles the first task of cleaning the car inside and out, preparing it for the upcoming engine installation.
To enhance the driving experience, the team addresses the visibility issue of the ECU control pad by relocating it for easier access during high-speed runs. Additionally, an upgrade to the alternator mount is in the works, with a new solution from TrackT to accommodate the dry sump conversion. The introduction of dry brake fittings promises to simplify engine removal without the hassle of spills, a practical addition for any racing enthusiast.
Looking ahead, the team plans to install a steering wheel hook for added convenience and efficiency when exiting the car. Furthermore, a significant project on the horizon involves relocating the front coilovers to optimize the suspension dynamics for improved performance on the track.
