The new MG4 X Power is the latest performance car to hit the market and it could be the best value performance car in the world. Carwow's Mat Watson explains why. The MG4 X Power has two electric motors, one on each axle, giving it a combined 435 horsepower - more than an Audi RS3 and a Mercedes AMG A45S. It's also been fitted with an electronically controlled limited slip differential, beefier anti-roll bars, retuned suspension, recalibrated steering and rated brakes for improved stopping power.

So how does it drive? Mat puts it through its paces and finds that it has instant acceleration and plenty of traction and thrust out of corners. It's not quite as well balanced as a Hyundai i30N, but it's still a lot of fun. The brakes don't feel as pure as a normal car, but for the price, it's hard to beat.

If you're a hardcore driving enthusiast, you might be better off buying a used BMW M2 Competition for similar money. But if you're a more normal person who gets their thrills from being able to put their foot down and feel the power, then the MG4 X Power could be the perfect car for you. Carwow makes it easy to buy used cars, so if you're looking for the best car deals, head to carwow now and check out their reviews.

Viewer Reactions for New MG4 XPower: A £35k supercar SLAYER!

The MG4 Xpower is the ultimate family runaround, offering a great balance of performance and practicality. It has an impressive 0-60 time of under 4 seconds and 400bhp, making it a supercar slayer. It's also surprisingly affordable, with a price tag of £36,000. Kia and Hyundai have also stepped up their game in the performance market, offering 7 year warranties on their cars. The MG4 Xpower is a great option for those looking for a performance car at a sensible price point, but some viewers have noted that it looks a bit too high and is not the most attractive car. Despite this, many viewers have been impressed with the performance and price point of the MG4 Xpower and think it's a great option for those looking for a family car with a bit of extra oomph.
