Welcome back to another thrilling episode of DailyDrivenExotics, where the team is hard at work on their mind-blowing F12 build. This time, they're tackling the crucial task of aligning the bell housing and transmission plate to ensure that the input shaft and crankshaft are perfectly straight. With a dial indicator in hand, they meticulously make adjustments, aiming for a tolerance of 5,000 of an inch. The consequences of getting it wrong could be disastrous, from clutch issues to bearing damage. But these guys are determined to get it right.
After successfully aligning the plates, the team moves on to cutting the front crossmember to make room for the transmission. With that done, they assemble the suspension and wheels, transforming the car into a roller once again. But there's a twist - Dave, the wheel thief, has taken the wheels for his own 599, leaving the team with no choice but to use the stock 19-inch wheels. It's not ideal, but it gets the job done.
With the wheels in place, it's time to focus on the engine and transmission assembly. They carefully measure the clutch assembly, ensuring the proper clearance for the throwout bearing. It's all about precision here, as even a small gap can cause major issues down the line. But these guys know what they're doing, and they're determined to make it work.
Finally, the moment of truth arrives as they lower the engine and transmission into the car. Strapped in place, they secure it and prepare for the next stage of this epic build. It's been a rollercoaster ride of challenges and triumphs, but the team at DailyDrivenExotics is not backing down. Stay tuned for more adrenaline-fueled episodes as they push the boundaries of automotive engineering.
