Welcome to Pikes Peak International Raceway, where we have the pleasure of getting behind the wheel of the Corvette eay Four. This beast of a car boasts a 495 horsepower V8 engine in the back, along with a separate 160 horsepower electric front motor and a 1.9 kilowatt battery. Combined, this gives us a staggering 655 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. It's the fastest vet ever made, outperforming even the mighty Z06 in various tests.
But don't be fooled by its power, because the eay is not just a track weapon. It's designed to be an All-Season Grand Tourer, and it excels in that role. I had the chance to take it out on the road, and boy, was it a joy to drive. The eay retains most of the Z06 bodywork, but with the Stingray rear bumper. The battery charges and discharges rapidly, and you don't even need to plug it in. It also has a silent mode, allowing you to sneak out of your neighborhood without disturbing the peace.
On the track, the eay truly comes alive. With its wide tires, sharp steering, and excellent balance, it handles like a dream. The standard ceramic brakes provide fantastic stopping power, and the optional PS4s tires on Carbon wheels offer incredible grip. The eay's all-wheel drive system allows you to get on the power earlier without sacrificing control. It's a car that can be pushed to its limits, and it rewards the driver with an exhilarating experience.
Overall, the Corvette eay Four is an impressive machine. It combines raw power with intelligent technology, creating a car that is both thrilling to drive and practical for everyday use. Whether you're tearing up the track or cruising down the highway, the eay delivers on all fronts. GM has truly outdone themselves with this one, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next.
