In this thrilling episode of Cleetus McFarland's YouTube channel, the team is back at the track with their beastly rat rod Supra, determined to conquer the elusive eight-second mark. With the smell of burning rubber in the air, they prepare for their first run, hoping to replicate their impressive 147 or 148 60-foot time. The Supra roars to life, leaving a trail of fireballs in its wake as it embarks on a blistering burnout. The anticipation builds as they inch closer to their goal.
But alas, their hopes are dashed as the Supra breaks up during the run, leaving them with a disappointing 142 60-foot time. Undeterred, they analyze the data log, suspecting a fuel pressure drop as the culprit. With a half tank of fuel, they add some more and prepare for another attempt. The Supra spins, but manages to clock a respectable 929 at 155 mph. A small victory, but still far from their desired goal.
Not ones to give up easily, the team fixes a body clip that came loose and prepares for another run. The Supra launches off the line with determination, but once again falls short of the elusive eight-second mark. Frustration sets in, but they refuse to be defeated. Adjustments are made, tire pressures are checked, and they give it one final shot. The Supra bursts forward, the engine roaring with power, but disaster strikes as a tire blows out, ending their quest for the day.
In a surprising twist, Cleetus decides to hand over the reins to Victor, the man who built the car. With confidence oozing from every pore, Victor accepts the challenge and is given two runs to prove himself. Will he be able to achieve what the team couldn't? The tension is palpable as the countdown begins for Victor's first attempt. The track awaits, and the Supra stands ready for one last shot at glory.
