In the latest installment of CarCraft Video's epic Fox Body versus third-gen Camaro build, the team is making significant progress. The Mustang, now in its final stages, is about to be sent off to the paint shop. Meanwhile, the Camaro project is just getting started, with the team removing the engine, transmission, suspension, and seats to make way for the Speed Tech Performance Suspension kit.
With the Camaro securely on jack stands, the team meticulously levels the car and takes precise measurements to ensure accuracy. The installation of the torque arm system is a game-changer, minimizing suspension bind and providing a more predictable ride on the race track. The team is eager to get their hands dirty and start cutting into the front end of the Camaro, making way for the new suspension components.
Amidst the hard work, the team takes a break to embrace the rain and mud, indulging in a bit of off-road fun. Back to the Mustang, subframe connectors and a front sway bar have been successfully installed, and the team is now focused on mounting the new wheels and tires. They also showcase the sleek new center console plate, complete with cup holders, a modern upgrade from the old days of balancing coffee cups between the seats and the handbrake.
The Camaro's rear suspension is a complex task, involving cutting out the body and installing a crossmember for the torque arm. The team meticulously ensures that everything is level, centered, and square before welding it all together. As the Mustang undergoes a debadging transformation, making way for Ford Performance badges, anticipation builds for the final episode of this thrilling series, where the finished Camaro and the freshly painted Mustang will be revealed in all their glory.
