In the second part of the epic carcraft series from MotorTrend Channel, the team is back at it, working on the Mustang and the Camaro. The Mustang gets a major upgrade with a new front suspension system and brakes, while the team continues to make strides in installing the monstrous Godzilla V8 and a beefed-up drivetrain. Meanwhile, the Camaro returns from the paint shop, eagerly awaiting its turn to be transformed.
The highlight of the Mustang's transformation is the installation of the remarkable RCH SLA system. This beauty promises to revolutionize the capabilities of the Fox body, offering better travel and tire planting, thanks to its superior design and components. It's a game-changer for both handling and braking, making the Mustang a force to be reckoned with.
Over on the Camaro side, the team dives into the heart of the beast, building a 404 cubic inch stroker LS engine. Using an LS2 block and LS3 cylinder heads, they create a powerhouse that will surely awaken the Camaro's true potential. With K1 Technologies H beam rods, Moly pistons, and Dart heads, this engine is a force to be reckoned with. The team also opts for Schneider cams for the valve train, ensuring optimal performance.
As the episode progresses, the team tackles various tasks, from installing a Dakota Digital dash in the Mustang to working on the interior and drivetrain. They encounter a few challenges, such as the oil pan sitting too high and the need for a solution to retain the 8.8 bearing ends. But with their expertise and determination, they find creative solutions and make significant progress.
With each passing moment, the Mustang and Camaro evolve into formidable machines. The Mustang's transformation is evident as it sits on its own weight, ready to take on the track. Meanwhile, the Camaro's LS engine promises to deliver an exhilarating experience, with Evan's expertise ensuring it sounds as good as it performs. The excitement is palpable as the team looks forward to the next stage of the journey, where the Mustang will undergo painting and the Camaro will receive a new speed tech suspension. It's a battle of the titans, and the team is fully committed to making these cars the best they can be.
