In this thrilling episode of B is for Build, the team dives headfirst into their ambitious camper truck project. With a quick recap of the progress so far, including the meticulous reconstruction of the front chassis and the addition of much-needed doors to the truck bed, they are back in action after a detour to build a race car. But now, they're back on track, working tirelessly to bring this beast of a truck to life.
However, not everything goes according to plan. A tiny gas lid flap proves to be a bit too small, rendering it useless for refueling. But fear not, for the team quickly rectifies the situation by creating a larger flap that can accommodate the gas nozzle with ease. They also tackle the challenge of filling in the cracks and gaps in the trim pieces, ensuring a seamless and polished look. Seam sealer is initially employed but proves to be a mistake, shrinking and causing more trouble than it's worth. The team learns from their misstep and turns to trusty body filler to get the job done right.
With the truck prepped and ready for a fresh coat of paint, the team sets their sights on Raptor liner, a versatile and durable automotive coating. They meticulously sand down the entire truck, ensuring optimal adhesion for the Raptor liner. The process may be time-consuming, but the results are worth it, as this coating provides a tough and long-lasting finish. And let's not forget the ingenious addition of tabletops that can slide out of the truck, offering a convenient workspace for their adventures.
But the excitement doesn't end there. The team tackles the challenge of building storage boxes underneath the habitat, maximizing the truck's storage capacity. With careful planning and precise construction, they create spacious boxes that seamlessly blend with the truck's design. It's a testament to their dedication and attention to detail.
As the episode comes to a close, the team is on the cusp of completing this monumental project. With tabletops in place and storage boxes attached, the truck is transforming into the ultimate adventure machine. Stay tuned for the next thrilling installment of B is for Build, where we witness the final touches that will truly bring this camper truck to life.
