In this DailyDrivenExotics video, the team addresses the backlash they received for a previous video and offers a heartfelt apology to their viewers. They acknowledge the importance of delivering real, authentic content and admit to feeling a bit lost when it comes to titles, thumbnails, and video ideas that will attract the necessary views to support their car expenses. They explain the truth behind the lease mentioned in the previous video, clarifying that while it was real, they had no intention of cutting up the car. A skit gone wrong, resulting in viewer disappointment, taught them a valuable lesson, and they promise to focus on providing specific updates on the F12 build without resorting to clickbait tactics.
Moving on to the F12 build, the team eagerly awaits the delivery of the E-brake handle, an essential component for their project. Unfortunately, the package is delayed, prompting them to make a quick trip to borrow an E-brake from another car. With the borrowed E-brake temporarily installed, they check for clearance and set the angle, ensuring a natural and comfortable reach for the driver. The purpose of the E-brake in this build is to create a competition drift car with elements of sliding and drifting, inspired by the Jimana series. They share their excitement about the wild ideas they have in store for their viewers, promising to push the boundaries of what is possible with a car, especially a Ferrari F12 with a V12 twin-turbo engine and a hood exit exhaust that spits out flames.
The team showcases the progress made on the F12's interior, highlighting the completed welded cage and the design for the transmission tunnel cover. They emphasize the importance of keeping the opening as small as possible to act as a firewall, preventing any unwanted interference with the transmission and drive shaft. With the E-brake and shifter in place, the interior of the car is starting to take shape, exuding a sense of badassery that perfectly complements their vision for the F12 build. They express their eagerness to get behind the wheel and drive this beast, acknowledging that there is still a lot of work to be done, but they are grateful for the progress made thus far.
