First up, let's talk tires. Adam has chosen the Nitto Nomad Grappler, designed for crossover utility vehicles. These bad boys are not only great off-road, but they also offer a quiet ride on the road and excellent performance in rain and snow. With two different sidewall options, Adam has the flexibility to choose the level of aggression that suits his GTR.
Now, let's move on to the wheels. Adam has opted for the iconic Nismo LMGT2, and boy, do they look the part. These 17x8 wheels are the perfect fit for the 215/65 tires he's chosen. The narrower width ensures the tire protects the wheel, and the Nismo heritage adds a touch of class to the Safari GTR project. Adam does mention that the color of the wheels may change, and he seeks input from his loyal fans to make the final decision.
With the tires mounted and the wheels in place, it's time to check for clearance issues. Adam is pleased to report that there are minimal problems, but to be on the safe side, he adds a 15mm spacer to ensure proper clearance. He explains the concept of scrub radius and how it affects the car's handling, and he plans to make adjustments to the caster and traction rod to optimize performance.
