In this review of the 2024 Maserati Grand Turismo by Doug DeMuro, we see a car that seems stuck in a time warp. The new model bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor from 15 years ago, raising eyebrows on its lack of evolution. Despite the familiar design, the Grand Turismo comes with a hefty price tag starting at $160,000 and reaching up to $230,000 with added options. Under the hood, the V6 engine from the Maserati mc20 delivers a punch with a 540 horsepower option and an upcoming 750 horsepower all-electric version.
Inside the Grand Turismo, the key exudes luxury with its leather-wrapped aluminum finish, while the electronic door handles add a touch of modernity. However, the controls inside the car raise some eyebrows with a clock that you adjust through the climate control screen, and gear selector buttons that require a firm press. Despite these quirks, the infotainment system is user-friendly, featuring Android Auto and Apple Carplay for seamless connectivity. The gauge cluster offers customization options, allowing drivers to tailor their display preferences to their liking.
Moving to the back seats, the Grand Turismo surprises with its level of comfort and amenities, including climate vents, cup holders, and USB ports. The trunk, equipped with a power-operated function, offers ample space for luggage and a charge port for added convenience. On the exterior, the Maserati logos and Trident emblem are prominently displayed, emphasizing the car's heritage and identity. Overall, the 2024 Maserati Grand Turismo may not have strayed far from its roots in terms of design, but it packs a powerful performance and modern features to appeal to luxury car enthusiasts.
