Introducing the 2024 Lexus TX, a bold move by Lexus in the crowded family SUV market. This new offering stands out among Lexus's existing lineup of SUVs, each with its defined niche. The TX comes in three versions, including a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid model, offering power and versatility for discerning buyers. While visually similar to the Toyota Grand Highlander, the TX manages to carve its identity with a distinctive front grille, albeit sharing an overall look with its Toyota counterpart.
Step inside the TX, and you're greeted with a tech-laden interior that screams luxury. The large center screen is a significant upgrade, offering seamless integration of various functions, including climate controls. The heads-up display is a standout feature, projecting button functions directly onto the windshield for easy access. Rear passengers are treated to heated, ventilated seats, USB-C ports, and a household power port, ensuring a comfortable ride for all occupants.
Moving to the cargo area, the TX impresses with its spaciousness, although lacking storage under the floor. The power-folding seats add a touch of luxury but may prove slower than manual options. Overall, the TX delivers on both style and substance, with thoughtful features like adjustable second-row seats for increased comfort and easy access to the third row. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as the absence of a sunroof at this price point, the Lexus TX shines as a compelling option in the competitive luxury SUV segment.
