The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is a game-changer, throwing everything we know about Blazers out the window. This electric SUV is like nothing we've seen before, with its low-slung and wide proportions that make it look more like a tall electric wagon. It's sleek, modern, and perfect for the modern age.
Inside, the Blazer EV offers a spacious cabin with a high ceiling, creating an airy atmosphere. The onslaught of screens is inevitable in 2023, but these ones are big, bright, and easy to read. The rear seats provide great headroom, and even the middle passenger isn't cheated out of legroom thanks to the flat floor.
But let's talk about the driving experience. The Blazer EV is available in front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive, which is a rarity in the automotive world. This particular Blazer is the RS all-wheel drive trim, packing 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque. It's no hair-raising speed demon, but it has enough power for merging and passing.
The Blazer EV handles turns with confidence, thanks to its low center of gravity. The chassis rides smoothly and handles bumps well, providing a comfortable driving experience. The only aspect that falls short is the steering feedback, which lacks the tightness and precision I would have hoped for.
Overall, the Blazer EV is a sleek and customizable electric SUV that challenges the competition in the midsize SUV EV market. It's a departure from the traditional Blazer, offering a modern design and impressive drivetrain options. Chevy has certainly hoodwinked us into getting excited about a tall electric wagon, and I must say, I'm here for it.
